Boardwalk Empire Season 1 ,you deserve

could dance around the topic and try to blather on and on about what happened in the most recent episode of boardwalk empire dvd, but let’s not do that. Let’s cut right to the good stuff. Jack Huston’s debut, as WWI veteran Richard Harrow, stole the show. Harrow shows up at a hospital where Jimmy Darmody is being treated for a recurring leg injury that he attained during his WWI service. The two strike up a friendship and Darmody discovers that Harrow was a sniper- a damned good one at that- capable of offing a German soldier just an inch below the eye from yards and yards away. And so Darmody begins to give presents to Harrow. He treats him to prostitutes; booze; and a dose of dignity by talking him into leaving a psychiatric ward of sorts where soldiers are apparently tested for post traumatic stess disorder via a battery of embarrassing questions.

Other significant developments included the arrival of Meyer Lansky, which adds to the constellation of Who’s Who of 1920′s mobsters. Lansky shows up claiming to be “Michael Lewis”, and tries to lure Chalky White into selling to Lewis/Lansky instead of selling his product to Nucky. Chalky assumes that it’s a test put to him by Nucky and declines the offer, later telling Nucky that the test was a crock. Nucky, of course, has no clue what the hell Chalky is talking about. Lansky, in the meantime, is seen later to be working for everyone’s favorite gonorrhea patient, Lucky Luciano. And both of them are conspiring with the Lanzetti Brothers (a.k.a. the crew that works with Doogie Howser’s friend Vinnie).

Best Act on Live to Dance Season Finale

The first season of Live to DanceLive to Dance release date came to an end on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. The finale episode, Live to Dance dvdhosted by Andrew Gunsberg and featuring experts Paula Abdul, Travis Payne, and Kimberly Wyatt, recapped the first season from the auditions to the finals.
To start the show, the top six dance acts performed a routine together, featuring their own styles and combining some of the individual dancers with the large groups. The six acts were: Dance Town Chaos, The Vibe, Twitch, Kendall Glover, White Tree Fine Art, and D'Angelo & Amanda. The high-energy opening routine was choreographed by Paula Abdul.
After a recap of last week's performances, Andrew brings out the Top 6 acts to announce the Top 3 (in no particular order) after America's vote. The Top 3 are: ballet duo White Tree Fine Art, ballroom duo D'Angelo & Amanda, and contemporary soloist Kendall Glover.

Before the other two acts perform, Andrew meets some of the former contestants in the audience: Dax & Sarah, Bev & Hap, and Chi-Town Finest Breakers. We are reminded that Chi-Town Finest Breakers are a group of five siblings who were once homeless and, along with their father, go around teaching other children how to dance to bring happiness into their lives. For their efforts, Chrysler has donated a Town & Country minivan to the family, and they are very surprised and grateful.
Next to perform is White Tree Fine Art. Kimberly thinks they have already won by coming this far in the competition and showing that America does embrace ballet. Paula loves their emotional, spiritual and loving connection. Travis says that America overruled him at each step in the competition, and they got it right. Last week, he became a believer in White Tree Fine Art, but this week, he "became a fan."
The final performance is by Kendall Glover. Paula says she is a brilliant shining star for choreographers, and a wonderful person.

Hayao Miyazaki Animation:Princess Mononok

Princess MononokeHayao Miyazaki Animation DVD is an animation where Miyazaki produced very vibrant, full of perspective and detailed artwork. Many of his films are “reflective about the human condition” such as Princess Mononoke, where the film questions about how humans destroy and pollute nature. Miyazaki conveyed that idea by showing if nature had a voice and was personified with animals, how would people confront and interact with them. Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind shows the destruction that bugs can bring when humans pollute their environment. Castle in the Sky is also another animation where it illustrates how greed can bring destruction.

My favorite of these would have to be either Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind or Laputa: Castle in the Sky. Nausicaa is the story of a princess of a small country and how she saves her people, and maybe even the world. The story delves into the problems of pollution and the effects it can have on the world economy and politics, as well as how nature might evolve in order to deal with such pollution itself. Miyazaki’s films, while meant to be entertainment, also contain messages both subtle and readily apparent. Both Nausicaa and Laputa explore the nature of power and its relationships to corruption and responsibility. The films never get bogged down in the message but use it as a tool of story telling
I would recommend both the film and the book, but I’m not sure which I would say you should see/read first. As for Princess Mononoke, this is one film that’s probably not as family friendly as the rest – there are some violent and/or scary scenes, but all in all, the movie is great.so do not hesitate to watch it now , have it here Hayao Miyazaki Animation Special Collection DVD.

Prison Break Seasons 1-4

Prison BreakPrison Break Seasons 1-4 DVD is anchored by tight, suspenseful writing clearly relished by the largely little-known cast. Standouts include Robert Knepper as the

murderer/pedophile T-Bag, who somehow makes such a despicable character likeable. Stacey Keach of Mike Hammer fame plays the warden-with-a-heart-of-gold, who clashes with Captain Brad Bellick (Wade Williams) over whether to rehabilitate the inmates or makes their lives more miserable. Peter Stormare, famous for his skills with a wood chipper in Fargo, turns in a deliciously menacing performance as mob boss John Abruzzi, while Amaury Nolasco’s winsome Fernando Sucre shares a cell and secrets with Miller’s Scofield. Watching the show one gets a sense that this is the opening salvo of Wentworth Miller’s career, which will doubtless include roles as assassins, detectives, super heroes, and perhaps the champion of staring contests. Midway through the prison break season season it’s explained that Scofield is a genius with an heightened sensitivity to other peoples’ suffering, which sums up what makes the show so great–the mind-bendingly intricate plot is a framework for moments when people make others suffer

The Girl Next Door !

The Girl Next DoorThe Girl Next Door Seasons 1-3 DVD was an unexpected comedy in its time and remains a refreshing film full of breakout roles.
High school is hell. Let’s just put that out there. If you’re not a jock, then maybe you’re in band? If not on the football team, maybe you joined the math team? Matthew has a student record that would get him in to any college – but he lacks the money to make his dreams come true. He’s waist-deep in a competition for a young leaders scholarship and is trying valiantly to bring a prodigious youth over from an impoverished nation. Who wouldn’t want this kid in their student body?
Matthew Kidman, that’s who.

The Girl Next Door Seasons 1-3 DVD
There are subtle shades of examining the porn industry’s establishing women as mere props, but really the film focuses more on the clashing of two polar personalities: the sheltered student and the jaded sex symbol. The Girl Next Door Seasons 1-3 DVDIt proposes that the two long for a similar break in their routines but for wholly different reasons. Each wants a slice of the other’s pie only to have the pros and cons of each revealed. The Girl Next Door Seasons 1-3 DVDIt’s not a fish out of water tale, but it creates the same allegory in a way that’s new and refreshing…and funny.
